Who is this course for?
The course is for those who:
is on the way to employment in a new IT profession;
has a basic level of the language, but does not apply it in life;
wants to improve self-presentation skills in English;
has difficulty understanding language by ear;
preparing for an interview in English.
The goals and objectives of the course are to teach students:
Understand texts and sentences in English, primarily by ear (listening).
Synchronize visual and auditory types of perception of information in English.
Basics of English grammar (distinguish between tenses, parts of speech and sentence parts and use them correctly for listening, speaking and writing).
Compose phrases and texts in English in accordance with the rules of grammar and pronunciation.
Systematize existing and newly acquired knowledge and apply it to achieve everyday and career goals (passing interviews, communicating in a foreign language environment, solving various tasks and problems in English).
Learn to understand the essence of questions asked during communication in English and answer them.
What are we going to study?
Grammar
Word order in an English sentence.
Rules for conjugation of verbs (number and person).
Semantic and auxiliary verbs.
Modal verbs.
Articles.
Simple and continuous tenses, rules for their use in speech and writing.
Parts of speech.
Composing questions and answers (short and detailed).
Topics
Story about yourself (for interviews and self-presentation).
A story about your friend (colleague) – to practice grammar of the 3rd person singular.
Examples and analysis of job interviews (in each lesson).
A story about friends (colleagues) – to practice the plural.
Writing a resume in English (using the provided template).
Texts on various topics – to learn how to navigate texts with unfamiliar words, grasp the general meaning (main idea) and answer questions about the text (or topic in conversation).
The course is aimed at overcoming the language barrier and maximizing the use of all acquired knowledge for communication, receiving and processing information, as well as responding and being able to conduct a dialogue in English.

English teacher with a total experience of over 30 years. Author of teaching methods and founder of a language school in Spain. Psychologist and linguist by education. Poetry translator. Also teaches Chinese and German. Tutor in mathematics.
